TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Access and participation conditions

  • Participation in the activity implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by all participants, hereinafter referred to as "players." If any player does not agree, in whole or in part, with the content of these Terms and Conditions, they must refrain from participating.
  • During the game, players must pay attention to and follow the instructions of the Enigma Barcelona staff at all times.
  • Enigma Barcelona reserves the right of admission and the right to expel players immediately if it detects any breach of these Terms and Conditions or of the instructions they receive from the company's staff, thus losing the right to continue playing and to any type of refund or compensation.
  • Game capacity is limited and varies depending on the game. This information is clearly indicated on the website for each game.
  • The minimum age to participate depends on each game. It is clearly indicated on the website for each game.
  • People with reduced mobility (wheelchairs, crutches, etc.) should check via email or telephone the feasibility of participating in each of the Enigma Barcelona games to avoid any kind of inconvenience.
  • It is strictly forbidden:
    • Participating in activities under the influence of alcohol, any type of drug or other narcotic substances.
    • Filming or taking photographs inside the facilities.
    • The use of any electronic device, as well as any object that comes from outside.
    • Serious lack of personal hygiene.
    • Disrespect towards game staff or violent attitudes or that cause any disorder during the activity.
    • Not following the instructions of the game staff.

Schedules and delays

  • Punctuality is essential. Players must arrive at the playing facility 10 minutes before their scheduled time. Any delays will affect subsequent bookings.
  • If the team does not show up 15 minutes after the reservation time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled without the right to changes or refunds.
  • It is the player's sole responsibility to arrive on time for their reservation. Enigma Barcelona is not responsible for any delays or disruptions that may occur, whether caused by bad weather, strikes, demonstrations, sporting events, traffic jams, or any other reason.

Games

  • The games offered by Enigma Barcelona are based on ingenuity, skill, and teamwork. The use of force or damage to any game element is prohibited.
  • The games may contain fragile or sensitive elements that should be handled with care.
  • The game "The Virus" contains elements that should not be touched. No relevant game element will be above 2 meters in height.
  • Enigma Barcelona has the right to charge players for damages intentional or caused by misuse of game elements.
  • The duration of each game is clearly indicated on its corresponding webpage, and extending it is at the discretion of the game staff. Each game is preceded by an introduction to prepare players for the experience..
  • Enigma Barcelona staff will continuously monitor the players' actions via cameras. The games will be monitored to allow staff to observe compliance with the rules and provide instructions and/or clues to the players if necessary.
  • Specific conditions may be established for certain games, which will be supplementary to these Terms and Conditions.

Security

  • Players are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Enigma Barcelona is not responsible for stains, damage, or deterioration resulting from the activities.
  • In the game "The Virus," there is a red emergency button located to the right of the entrance/exit door inside the game room. In a real emergency, players must press it to unlock the door, open it, and evacuate.
  • If one of the players becomes unwell during the game, they must press the emergency button and evacuate the game room accompanied by another player until they recover. The remaining players may continue playing if they wish. In the event of an accident or serious illness, Enigma Barcelona staff may decide to stop the game completely.
  • The games at Enigma Barcelona are NOT categorized as "scary experiences"; however, exceptional situations may arise that could cause stress or tension for some players. Therefore, players who suffer from any medical condition, such as cardiovascular disease or epilepsy, or any disorder, such as claustrophobia or anxiety, should inform Enigma Barcelona staff to prevent incidents and assess the risks beforehand.
  • Enigma Barcelona is not responsible for any accidents or damages, whether personal or to equipment, that may occur due to player negligence, misuse of the facilities, or breach of these Terms and Conditions. Players participate at their own risk.

Rates, reservations and payments

  • Game prices vary depending on the game and the number of players. They are listed on each game's webpage and include applicable VAT. Enigma Barcelona reserves the right to change its price list and offers without prior notice. Prices may increase on certain dates, such as the Christmas holidays.
  • Enigma Barcelona reserves the right to apply different rates for promotions and discounts. These rates may be subject to change and are valid for a limited time. Corporate pricing can be arranged in advance.
  • The following personal contact information must be provided when making a reservation: first and last name, mobile phone number, and email address. If the information provided by the player is incorrect or false, Enigma Barcelona is not responsible for any problems arising from being unable to contact them regarding updates or unforeseen events related to their reservation.
  • Enigma Barcelona accepts payment by credit or debit card (VISA, VISA Electron or MasterCard. American Express is not accepted) and bank transfer for exceptional situations.
  • Regarding payments by credit or debit card through the website, Enigma Barcelona does not have access to card details and uses secure payment systems. Confidential payment information is transmitted directly and encrypted (SSL) to the financial institution. When making a payment through the secure payment gateway, the system will automatically verify that the credit card is activated for Secure Electronic Commerce. It will then connect to the card issuer, which will authorize the transaction. If the virtual POS terminal reports that the card has been declined, the booking process will be automatically canceled.
  • Enigma Barcelona accepts, in very exceptional cases where it deems appropriate, payment via bank transfer. In such cases, Enigma Barcelona is not responsible for any additional fees or taxes that may be incurred by paying with this method. If payment is not received within 48 hours of Enigma Barcelona blocking the booking time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
  • Once the booking is made, the player will receive an automated email confirming the reservation within the next 10 minutes. If, for any reason, this email is not received, the player should contact Enigma Barcelona by phone or email so that the staff can verify and confirm the reservation.
  • Enigma Barcelona accepts payments by credit or debit card (VISA, VISA Electron or MasterCard. American Express is not accepted) and bank transfer for exceptional situations.
  • The player can request an invoice at any time after the service has been provided. To do so, the player must request it via email to adn@juegoenigma.es, providing the necessary information for its creation.

Cancellations and modifications

  • Due to the nature of the activity, reservations cannot be cancelled and refunds are not available under any circumstances. We can, however, make changes to the date and time within a limited timeframe.
  • Date and time changes are not permitted within 24 hours of booking. Between 72 and 24 hours prior to booking, date and time changes may be made exceptionally with a €20 surcharge. Any unforeseen circumstances or changes must be communicated by phone or email. Players cannot modify their booking through the Enigma Barcelona website.
  • If, due to technical reasons, staff unavailability, or any other reason directly attributable to Enigma Barcelona, ​​the service cannot be provided, the player may choose between rescheduling the date or requesting a refund. In such cases, Enigma Barcelona will contact the players as far in advance as possible. If this incident occurs during a game in progress, players may resume the game on another day of their choosing (subject to availability) at no extra cost.

Gift vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, during which time a reservation can be made. Once the voucher has expired, it cannot be used or refunded.
  • If the number of participants exceeds the number specified in the bonus, the corresponding amount will be charged for each additional player. It is the player's responsibility to verify the number of players included in their bonus.
  • If the price of the activity increases during the validity period of a gift voucher, the price difference must be paid during the booking process.
  • Gift vouchers are not nominative, so anyone can come and enjoy the voucher.
  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable under any circumstances.
